Pool Hours vary depending on the type of swim that you are interested in. Please read the swim descriptions to find the what you are looking for.

Monday-Thursday: 6 am – 7 pm
Friday: CLOSED
Saturday: 10 am – 5 pm
Sunday: 10 am – 5 pm

Membership & Rates

Memberships benefit frequent users of the Center, providing unlimited access to facilities and fitness classes.

There are several different types of memberships as well as walk in drop-in rates and passes.

Activities & Workshops

We offer quite a variety of enrichment classes for all ages, from Pre-Schoolers to Adults. At the C. V. Starr Community Center and throughout the entire District. There something for everyone swim lessons, art classes, sports camps and more!

Aquatics

C.V. Starr offers an abundance of water-related activities and services, centered around our two indoor pools.

The Leisure Pool features a 146-foot Water Slide and the Lazy River.

The Lap Pool has 8 Lap Lanes and a Diving Board.

The health of all members and patrons of the C. V. Starr Community Center is of upmost importance. Due to the rise in COVID-19 cases the Center is now limiting the number of people who can attend Swim Slide Splash and Open Swim times.

A reservation system has been put in place for the Swim Slide Splash and Open Swim times.
Same day reservations only. No future day reservations.
Starting at 9am reservations can be made for that day by phone (707-964-9446) or in person.
Non-Members will need to pay for their swim at the time of reserving.
Reservations are non-refundable.
Reservations are free for members.
If a member makes a reservation and does not attend, a penalty drop-in fee will be placed on their account. Members will not be able to make additional reservations until the fee is paid.
Walk-ins will be accepted if the capacity has not been met with reservations.

Swim Lessons

We are your swimming lesson experts! Our instructors are able to teach lessons to all ages and ability levels.

We offer group lessons as well as private and semi private lessons.

Swim Team

The Mendocino Coast Sea Dragons swim team is a year-round swimming club that meets at the C. V. Starr Center and supports swimmers of all ages and abilities in achieving their swimming goals. The Mendocino Coast Sea Dragons are an independent organization that rents Lap Pool lanes at the C. V. Starr Community Center.

Fitness Room

Our fitness room has a variety of free weights, cardio and strength training machines.

The fitness room is open all hours that the center is open.

Group Fitness Classes

We offer a variety of motivating group fitness classes, over 70 a week! There is something for everyone. Aqua Aerobics, Cardio Spin, Silver Sneakers, Zumba and more!

Pool Parties

Be a Star and have your party at the C.V. Starr Community Center. Swim Slide Splash with your friends having fun and making memories. Great for Birthday parties, family gatherings, team celebrations and more!

Facility Rentals

We have two rooms that are available to rent for meetings and events, and they can be combined into a single large room. The single rooms each hold 25 people, and the combined room holds 50 people. The pool and outdoor areas are also available to rent.

Skate Park

The skate park is free, and open to the public from 9 am to sunset.

Full protective gear is required, and bicycles are not permitted. Park patrons who skate without helmets and pads risk receiving hefty fines from local police who regularly patrol the plaza.

Petanque Courts

If you’re a devotee of the ancient game of petanque, you can find courts and players at the C.V. Starr Community Center. The ancient Greeks started throwing stone balls around in the 6th century BC, and the Romans later added the target. The Romans introduced it to Europe, and the game has continued to the present day.

The Noyo Yoyos play petanque at C.V. Starr every Thursday afternoon, beginning at 2 pm.

Dog Park

There are two dog parks, both of which allow off-leash play on the center property, located at the northeast corner of the C.V. Starr property. One fenced area is for large dogs and the other is for small dogs.

Please read signs and follow all rules pertaining to the dog park when attending. The Dog Park is closed 8 am – 10 am for watering and maintenance.

Health & Safety Courses

Lifeguarding is a great job and puts you in the exciting position of working as part of a team to help others enjoy water activates safely. Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED workshops are also taught. Certifications are nationally recognized.

* Please note that not all activities will be available for online registration.
* C. V. Starr Community Center/ Mendocino Coast Recreation and Park District Enrichment Class Refund Policy. If a program is canceled by the Center, the registrant will receive a credit on account or a refund check for the full amount may be requested. If a participant wishes to drop out of a class they must notify the center in person or by phone. When a refund is requested to be a credit on account there is no fee, if a participant requests a refund by check there is a $10 administrative fee deducted from the refund amount. To be eligible for a refund a participant must notify the center at least three days before the first day of the class. Refund requests made after this deadline will not be granted.
*Registrations are non-transferable. Split attendance is not allowed.
