NOTICE OF VACANCY

Interested persons are hereby notified that pursuant to Government Code § 1780 there is a vacancy on the Special District

The position to be filled is a two-year term ending in 2024.

The seat will be filled by appointment of the Board after Day, September14, 2023, a Special Meeting may be scheduled if there are interested candidate(s) prior to the next regularly scheduled meeting, for the unexpired portion of the term.

This district board has 60 days from the date the board is notified of the vacancy or the effective date of the vacancy, whichever is later, to fill the vacancy by appointment or call a special election. Government Code§ 1780(d)(l) Pursuant to Government Code § 1780(d)(l), this notice will be posted for 15 days in 3 or more conspicuous locations in the district.

MENDOCINO COAST RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT

NOTICE OF VACANCY

BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Notice is hereby given pursuant to Government Code section 1780(d) (1) that one vacancy on the Mendocino Coast Recreation and Park District (MCRPD) Board exists. The remaining members of the District Board of Directors intend to fill the vacancies by appointment at their regular board of directors meeting on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at 5:30 p.m. in Mendocino, CA. Location to be announced.

Accordingly, if you are a voter of the District and are interested in serving as a member of the board of directors of the District, please submit a letter of interest to MCRPD District Supervisor, 300 South Lincoln Street, Fort Bragg, California 95437 stating your qualifications. Should you have a personal resume stating educational and work experience, please include resume with your letter of interest.

All letters of interest shall be presented to the remaining board of directors at a special meeting of the board of directors on Friday, October 13, 2023, at 5:30 p.m. at the CV Starr Community Center located at 300 South Lincoln Street, Fort Bragg, CA. If you submit a letter seeking appointment to the position of Director of the District, please plan on attending such meeting, since the remaining members of the board of directors intend to interview interested persons at that time before making an appointment.

Should you have any questions or comments concerning the duties of a Director of the District or the process by which the vacancy on the board of directors shall be filled by appointment as discussed above, please contact the MCRPD Board Secretary by email at dshpak@mcrpd.us. The deadline for the District to receive letters of interest for appointment to the MCRPD Board of Directors shall be 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 11, 2023. All letters of interest for appointment postmarked before the deadline, but received after it will not be accepted.
