Leisure Pool Closed for an extended period, Jan 4, 2022

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

C. V. STARR COMMUNITY CENTER LEISURE POOL CLOSED 8-10 WEEKS

The C. V. Starr Community Center Leisure Pool Boiler is damaged beyond repair. Maintenance staff have tried all possible fixes, none have been successful. At this time, the Center is ordering a new Boiler to heat the pool The expected arrival time is 8-10 weeks. The expected arrival will not be for at least 8 – 10 weeks. At this time the pool is not swimmable due to the rapid declining temperature. The Leisure Pool will close Wednesday January 12th and remain closed until the new Boiler is installed and the temperature is back to normal.

During the time of the Leisure Pool closure the Lap Pool will be heated to 82 degrees. Staff are currently working on “Special Lap Pool Programming” for the duration of the Leisure Pool Closure. Our goal is to allow time for all user groups.
