Enshin-itto Ryu Battojutsu is an ancient style of sword fighting, preserved by family tradition and passed down through the generations. Today it is practiced in many schools throughout the world. Practitioners learn to use the wooden sword, the bokken, as well as an unsharpened metal training sword called an iaito. After sufficient practice, we use the sharp sword called the shinken and practice cutting bamboo reed mats.
