MCRPD Recreation Services Grant Program

The Mendocino Coast Recreation and Park District (District) has appropriated funding in the FY2018-2019 budget for the Recreation Services Grant Program to support community based recreation services or enrichment opportunities and is now accepting completed grant applications. These activities must align with the District’s mission and vision and further the goals of our strategic plan. Recreation Services Grants are limited to a maximum of $1,500.

To provide opportunities on the Mendocino Coast that promote physical and mental well-being for everyone, through active play, community enrichment, programs and events.

Grant Purpose and Eligibility

The purpose of the MCRPD Recreation Services Grant Program is to provide funding support to assist non-profit organizations that are based within the jurisdictional boundaries of the Mendocino Recreation and Park District, as means of furthering the overall mission of the District.

Applications for the FY2018-2019 Recreation Services Grant Program will be accepted until March 29, 2019 at 5:00 p.m. Successful grant applicants will be reviewed at the Regular MCRPD Board of Directors Meeting scheduled for Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at 5:30 p.m. at the CV Starr Community Center located at 300 South Lincoln Street, Fort Bragg, CA. Grantees will be contacted by phone or email prior to April 17, 2019. Applicants are encouraged to contact District staff to discuss the proposed request prior to submission.

The applications can be obtained on line at https://www.mendocoastrec.org – Go to the MCRPD Board tab, select Agendas and Minutes and then scroll down to the bottom of the page. It will be located in the Other Documents section.
