Red Cross Lifeguard/ Shallow Water/ Water park Blended Learning Class First Aid, CPR for the Pro/ AED and Title 22

LIFEGUARD CLASS

Tuesday-Saturday: February 21-February 25
9:00am-5:00pm

If you are 15 or over and looking for a great job, American Red Cross Lifeguard Training is the place to start! Learn all the skills needed to work at the C.V. Starr Community Center.

There is NO FEEĀ  for those who will be employed by the C.V. Starr Community Center. All other participants will be charged $175.

Prerequisite: Swim 300 yards continuously; tread water for 2 minutes using legs only and a timed swim test. If a swimmer cannot meet these requirements, they will not be allowed to take the course.

When you register, pick up the class syllabus, it will give you the link to the online portion of the class. You must register at least 3 days before the start of the class.

Bring your Swim Suit, towel, pocket mask, manual, and the printed out confirmation that you have completed the online portion of the class.

Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED Class

Ages: 15+

This course will prepare you to recognize and care for a variety of first aid, breathing, and cardiac emergencies involving adult, children and infants. Through a combination of self-paced online learning and instructor led classroom training, you will have the opportunity to practice and demonstrate the skill competency required for certification. The online portion features simulation learning – an interactive experience where participants respond to real world emergencies in a virtual setting.

Participants must have access to internet to complete the online portion of the class. The online portion must be completed prior to attending the classroom session, and must be taken on a Flash-enable computer with a high speed internet connection. Be sure to provide us with an email tp receive the link to the online class.

Pre-Registration is required. Participants must sign up at least 3 days in advance to be eligible to take the class.
