This course will prepare you to recognize and care for a variety of first aid, breathing, and cardiac emergencies involving adult, children and infants. Through a combination of self -paced online learning and instructor led classroom skill sessions you will have the opportunity to practice and demonstrate skill competency required for certification.
The online portion features simulation learning – an interactive experience where participants respond to real world emergencies in a virtual setting. It must be completed prior to attending the class room session and must be taken on a Flash enabled computer with a high speed internet connection. ($27 Red Cross Fee when you log in to the online portion of this class.)

Are you 15 or older and looking for a great job or challenging career? American Red Cross Life guarding is the place to start! Life guarding puts you in an exciting position, working as part of a team to help people safely enjoy the water.
Prerequisite: Swim 300 yards continuously; tread water for 2 minutes using legs only and a timed swim test. If a swimmer cannot meet these requirements, they will not be allowed to take the course.
When you register, pick up the class syllabus, it will give you the link to the online portion of the class. You must register at least 3 days before the start of the class.
Bring your Swim Suit, towel, pocket mask, manual, and the printed out confirmation that you have completed the online portion of the class.
